1.  It is your responsibility as a driver, owner, parent, and contestant to read and understand the rules before entering the contest. 

2.  It is our responsibility as a governing body to enforce these rules. Please ask for clarification, or permission prior to entering the contest. Permission is easier than forgiveness

3.      If you think it is a grey area, you better get clarification!

 

 

 

ATV CLASSES

ENTRY FEE: $10.00/CLASS

 


1)    MIMI MUDDERS

A.   Only riders 8 or under on December 31, 2016

B.   Limited to  125CC or 12HP

C.   Any tire (no dual wheels)

2)    JR. ATV

A.   Only riders 12 or under on December 31,2016

B.   Must have factory frame and engine

C.   2 wheel drive only

D.   Any tire (no dual wheels)

E.    No side by sides

3)    JR 4x4 ATV

A.   Only riders 12 or under on December 31,2016

B.   Must have factory frame and engine

C.   4 wheel drive only

D.   Any tire (no dual wheels)

E.    No side by sides

4)    ADVANCED  ATV

A.   Only riders 18 or under on December 31,2016

B.   Must have factory frame and engine

C.   2 wheel drive only

D.   Any tire (no dual wheels)

E.    No side by sides

5)    ADVANCED 4X4 ATV

A.   Only riders 18 or under on December 31,2016

B.   Must have factory frame and engine

A.   Only riders 18 or above on December 31, 20174

B.   Must have factory frame and engine

7)    ATV Modified

A.   Any age

B.   Any Frame and motorcycle/atv type engine

C.   Side by sides allowed


ATV-General Rules

1.    All riders must be able to reach the handle bars and foot boards/pegs while sitting on the seat

2.    All riders must be able to stage and control the ATV they are riding

3.    All riders must wear a closed faced helmet with face shield or goggles. (no open face helmets or sunglasses)

4.    All riders must  wear a shirt, pants, riding gear suggested (no shorts or open toe shoes)

5.    All side by sides, and roll caged ATV’s must have and wear seat belts.

6.    ATV’s can and should be staged before the drivers meeting.

7.    ATV’s are to be parked after racing. Pit speed 16 MPH

8.    NO REFUNDS AFTER THE DRIVERS MEETING

9.   NO REFUNDS AFTER THE DRIVERS MEETING

 

GENERAL RULES

1)    General Safety:

A.   Seat belts are required to be properly worn in all classes.

B.   Helmets, must be close faced, worn and buckled.

C.   Face shields/goggles are required if no windshield (no sunglasses for protection)

D.   Fire suit is recommended in all classes, required if running alcohol or power adders are being used.

E.    Fire extinguishers are recommended in all vehicles, required in class 3 and up.

F.    Neck restraint are recommended in all classes, required in class 3 and up. Can be a foam collar or HANS type device.

G.   Participant shall DRIVE the vehicle from the staging area to the starting line.

1)    Riders:

A.   For and additional $10.00 donation to the point fund, you may have a rider in class 1, 2, and 3A only

2)    Truck:

A.   Each truck needs an Identification number for ease of identification.

B.   Roll cage is recommended in all classes, required in all classes except 1, 2, 3A. It must be of substantial construction and at a minimum connected to the floor of the cab, highly recommended to connect to the frame. A minimum of 1-1/4” O.D. x .118” thick mild steel or .065” 4130 chromoly.

C.   A minimum of a factory seat belt in classes 1, 2, &3A, and a minimum of a 5 point harness in all other classes. Must be worn properly

D.   If a vehicle does not have doors, or is open topped arm restraint or webbing is required.

E.    Transmission shields are recommended in all classes, required in classes 3 and up.

F.    A remote battery disconnect switch is recommended for all race vehicles and required in class 3 and up. (prohibited in class 3A)

G.   The battery must be securely mounted, Away from driver (no ropes or bungie cords)

H.   Fuel cells are highly recommended in all classes, required in class 4 and up. The cell must be properly mounted, away from the driver.

I.     All vehicles shall have a braking system in good working order. A minimum of two hydraulic brakes is required, four are recommended, and drive line brakes are acceptable.

J.    Each vehicle shall have at least one working shock on each sprung wheel.

K.   Drive shaft hoops and U-Joint shields are recommended on all race vehicles. At least one hoop per drive shaft is required in all classes except 1, 2, 3a. Minimum of one hoop per drive shaft, if longer than 36” a second hoop, or U-Joint covers are recommended. U-

L.    Steering must be fully functioning

M.   Limited to a single automotive type engine in each vehicle.

N.   A 3” eye is required on front and back of all race vehicles for towing.

3)    Pit:

A.   Pit speed is 16 mph.

B.   Truck Pit will be a minimum of 100’ and a maximum of 200’

C.   Staging will be either by staging light or track official

D.   Time will be recorded by timing system for a “full pass”

E.    Distance will be measured by a track official to the center of the front hub, closest to the finish line.

F.    Coming completely out of the pit is immediate disqualification

G.   A legal run is at pit operators discretion

H.   Pit can be mixed at any time for safety reasons.

4)    FEES: (Donations to the MAMR points fund)(Trucks and ATV’s)

A.   $5.00 per day for drivers not participating in the MAMR season points race.

B.   $5.00 per class fee if you enter late (after the drivers meeting).

C.   Gate Admission is at the pit operator’s discretion, everyone must pay.

D.   $50.00 protest. Protest must be filed during the class, and you may only protest if you are a contestant in that class. To Protest take money to the timing desk and ask for an official.

5)    Race Day: (Trucks and ATV’s)

A.   Absolutely no alcohol to be consumed by the driver or pit crew prior to racing!

B.   Absolutely no illegal substances on premises!

C.   ALL DRIVERS MUST HAVE A VALID PERMIT OR DRIVERS LISCENSE.

D.   No fighting, Driver is responsible for the actions of his crew.

E.    Tech-inspection is required before you can register to race

F.    Registration to begin no later than one hour before scheduled race time

G.   A vehicle may make THREE runs, no more than twice in a class with two drivers or in three different classes. A vehicle may make a FOURTH run in Class 6 or up. With exception of rerun options, and borrowing due to breakage, a truck may only appear 4 times in a race day.

H.   You will draw an entry number at time of registration.

I.     Drivers meeting 15 minutes before scheduled race time.

J.    NO ENGINES RUNNING DURING THE DRIVERS MEETING AND UNTIL AFTER THE NATIONAL ANTHEM / OPENING CEREMONIES

K.   Class running order announced at the drivers meeting.

Usually ATV 1-7, Trucks 8-7-6A-9-1-2-3-4-5-6

L.    Class line up will be posted after the drivers meeting, before the class starts

M.   If you enter on time and draw first in your class, you have the option to re-run third. If you rerun you forfeit the outcome of the first run.

N.   Must be in the staging area before the class starts.

O.   If your truck breaks down on race day, you may barrow a truck provided it meets the rules for that class.

P.    Pay-out top 4 places 40%-30%-20%-10%. (100% of entry fee paid back in the class it was paid to in all cases)

Q.   Pay-out will be the day of the race and announced when ready

R.   Count your pay out, once you leave sight of the clerk, payment is final.

S.   ABSOLUTLEY NO REFUNDS AFTER THE DRIVERS MEETING         

 

         

TRUCK CLASSES

ENTRY FEE: $20.00/CLASS

1.    STREET STOCK

A.    Factory produced street vehicle only.

B.    Any size uncut DOT tire.

C.    Must have full factory body, windshield and windows (can be trimmed for tire clearance only)

D.    Must have a full factory dash (after market gauges are OK)

E.    Factory suspension  (NO ladder bars, floaters, coil over shocks)

F.    Must have factory windshield, cast iron engine block, cylinder heads, and drive train. (no aftermarket heads of any kind)

G.    Must pull steady 17” vacuum at 1000 RPMs using the MAMR gauge, with the air filter removed and the choke in the off position. Diesels are exempt from this rule.

H.    Single carburetor only (4150 flange). Factory diesels, factory turbo’s and factory fuel injection are allowed, with no electronic upgrades or power adders.

I.     Any dual plane intake.

J.    MAX “93 octane” gasoline or #2 diesel, no race fuels, perfumes or scents.

K.    You can run an aftermarket ignition

L.    Street legal exhaust including mufflers are required, pipes must extend past the cab. No straight pipes allowed

M.   Exhaust headers are permitted with street legal exhaust

 

2.Modified Street

A.    Factory produced street vehicles only

B.    Uncut DOT tire up to 37”

C.    Body swaps are allowed, wheelbase to match body (tires in the fenders)

D.    Must be a full factory body, cast iron engine block, drive train, windshield and windows.

E.    No cutting of body except trimming fenders for tire clearance

F.    Must have full factory dash (aftermarket gauges are ok)

G.    Must use a factory type suspension, ladder bars can be used.

H.    Can use aftermarket Cast Iron heads, no aluminum heads

I.     No exhaust through the hood allowed.  Down sweep headers and open headers are ok

J.    Must pull a steady 13” of vacuum at 1000 RPM using the MAMR gauge, with air filter removed, and choke in the off position. Diesels are exempt from this rule.

K.    Single 4150 flange carburetor or Factory fuel injection with any 4150 flanged cast intake (no sheet metal intakes) (no aftermarket power adders)

L.    MAX “101 Octane” gasoline, or #2 diesel, no race fuels, perfumes, or scents.

M.   Can use aftermarket ignition.

N.    Diesels limited to one Turbo and no other power adders.


 

3.    Super Street

A.    Factory produced street vehicles only

B.    Uncut DOT tire up to 37”

C.    Body Swaps are allowed, wheelbase to match body (tires in fenders)

D.    Must have a factory steel cab, windshield or lexan, factory firewall, and floor pan.

E.    No cutting of body or bed except for tire clearance.

F.    Must have a minimum of a 6 point roll cage (exempt if legal and entered in a lower class)

G.    Must have a racing seat and minimum of 5 point harness.(fire suit recommended)

H.    Must use factory frame and springs and axle housings, aftermarket shocks are OK.  No open chain drives.

I.     Ladder bars are ok, no floating suspensions

J.    Any conventional type head aluminum or cast , on any factory production block, or cast iron short deck block (no aluminum blocks)

K.    Engine must be in stock location (in case of body swap front plug no further back than the centerline of front axle)

L.    Any cast intake, single carburetor, factory production injection and factory turbos allowed. 

M.   Can use aftermarket ignition

N.    Racing fuel allowed, no alcohol, nitrous or blowers (gas or diesel only)

O.    Open headers are allowed.

P.    Kill switch must be within reach of the driver while buckled into the seat..

Q.    Must have a working fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cab.

R.    A remote battery disconnect switch is required at the rear of the vehicle.

 

3A. BONE STOCK (NOT A POINTS CLASS)

A.  NO MAMR POINTS MEMBERS ALLOWED TO ENTER THIS CLASS.

B.  NO SPONSOR STICKERS OR TRUCK NAME STICKERS OF ANY KIND

C.  All engine components must remain in the factory location and functional

D.  Must be mechanically street legal.

E.  Any size uncut DOT tire.

F.  Must have full factory body, windshield and windows (can be trimmed for tire clearance only)

G.  Must have a full factory dash and use factory shifter(after market gauges are OK)

H.  Factory suspension  (NO ladder bars, floaters, coil over shocks)

I.   Must have factory windshield, cast iron engine block, cylinder heads, and drive train. (no aftermarket heads of any kind)

J.  Must pull steady 18” vacuum at 1000 RPMs using the MAMR gauge, with the air filter removed and the choke in the off position. Diesels are exempt from this rule.

K.  Single carburetor only (4150 flange). Factory diesels, factory turbo’s and factory fuel injection are allowed, with no electronic upgrades or power adders.

L.  Any dual plane intake.

B.    Uncut DOT tire up to 38.5”

C.    Body Swaps are allowed, wheelbase to match body (tires in fenders)

D.    Must have a factory steel cab, bed, and windshield or lexan.

E.    Fire wall and floor pan can have minimal modifications for engine clearance, but must be replaced with like material steel, or minimum of ¼” aluminum.

F.    Gutting of the bed and cab allowed, must maintain outer factory dimensions.

G.    Must have a minimum of a 6 point roll cage (exempt if legal and entered in a lower class)

H.    Must have a racing seat and minimum of  5 point harness.(fire suit recommended)

I.     Must use factory frame and springs, and axel housings.

J.    After market shocks, transfer case, and Ladder bars are ok, no floating suspensions.

K.    Any conventional type head aluminum or cast , on any factory production block or cast iron short deck block (no aluminum blocks)

L.    Harmonic Balancer must be on centerline of the front axle or forward.

M.   Any cast intake, single carburetor, factory production injection and factory turbos allowed. 

N.    Can use aftermarket ignition

O.    Racing fuel allowed, no alcohol, nitrous or blowers.

P.    Kill switch must be within reach of the driver while buckled into the seat, recommended to keep it below shoulder level.

Q.    Must have a working fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cab.

R.    A remote battery disconnect switch is required at the rear of the vehicle.

 

5.    Modified

A.    Factory produced street vehicles only

B.    Uncut DOT tire up to 40”

C.    Body Swaps are allowed, wheelbase to match body (tires in fenders)

D.    Must have a factory steel cab, bed, and windshield or lexan.

E.    Fire wall and floor pan can have minimal modifications for engine clearance, but must be replaced with like material steel, or minimum of ¼” aluminum.

F.    Gutting of the bed and cab allowed, must maintain outer factory dimensions.

G.    Must have a minimum of a 6 point roll cage (exempt if legal and entered in a lower class)

H.    Must have a racing seat and minimum of 5 point harness.(fire suit recommended)

I.     Must use factory frame and springs.

J.    Can use aftermarket shocks, transfer case, ladder bars, chain drives, and floater

K.    Any cast intake, single carburetor, factory production injection and factory turbos allowed. Diesels Allowed

L.    Any cast iron engine and engine modification.

M.   Harmonic balancer must be on centerline of the front axle or forward.

N.    Can use aftermarket ignition

O.    Racing fuel allowed, no alcohol, nitrous or blowers.

P.    Kill switch must be within reach of the driver while buckled into the seat, recommended to keep it below shoulder level.

Q.    Must have a working fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cab.

R.    A remote battery disconnect switch is required at the rear of the vehicle.

 

 

 

6.    Super Modified

A.    Factory produced street vehicles only

B.    Uncut DOT tire up to 44”

C.    Body Swaps are allowed.

D.    Must have a factory steel cab, bed, and windshield or lexan.

E.    Fire wall and floor pan can have minimal modifications for engine clearance, but must be replaced with like material steel, or minimum of ¼” aluminum.

F.    Gutting of the bed and cab allowed, must maintain outer factory dimensions.

G.    Must have a minimum of a 6 point roll cage (exempt if legal & entered in a lower class)

H.    Must have a racing seat and minimum of 5 point harness.(fire suit recommended)

I.     Must use factory frame

J.    Any type of suspension, transfer case, chain drive or axle housing.

K.    Any engine modification. (no Aluminum engine blocks)

L.    Any Cast intake including tunnel rams.

M.   Any single or dual carbureted, engine and engine modification. Also any factory type injection, and turbo. Diesels Allowed

N.    Engine must be within 12” as measured from the centerline of the front axle to the face of the head.

O.    Any Exhaust allowed, but must be routed away from fuel system, driver compartment, and cannot be aimed directly at the spectators.

P.    Front Axle may be repositioned, as long as the balancer rule is applied.

Q.    Can use aftermarket ignition

R.    Racing fuel allowed, no alcohol, nitrous or blowers.

S.    Kill switch must be within reach of the driver while buckled into the seat, recommended to keep it below shoulder level.

T.    Must have a working fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cab.

U.    A remote battery disconnect switch is required at the rear of the vehicle.

 

 

6A. ALL MOTOR CUT CLASS (USMRA Limited Renegade compliant)

A.    Any truck legal for class 1-4 can run this class

B.    Must have a racing seat and minimum of 5 point harness.

C.    Full fire suit, close toed shoes, and neck collar or HANS required.

D.    Any size DOT tire cut or uncut (40” max at USMRA event)

E.    Engine block must be Cast Iron and limited to 10.300” deck height.

F.    Any commercially produced cast Iron or aluminum conventional style head is allowed. (BBC must use no less than 23°head)...any machining, porting etc. Allowed.

G.    Engine must be within 6” as measured from the center of the front axle to face of head.

H.    Any Exhaust allowed, but must be routed away from fuel system, driver compartment, and cannot be aimed directly at the spectators.

I.     Any Single carburetor with any cast intake except tunnel ram. No sheet metal

J.    Must use OEM frame.

K.    Must use OEM type drive train, no chain drives, or aftermarket transfer cases.

L.    Kill switch must be within reach of the driver while buckled into the seat, recommended to keep it below shoulder level.

M.   Must have a working fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cab.

N.    A remote battery disconnect switch is required at the rear of the vehicle.

 

 

7.    Open Outlaw Truck (USMRA Outlaw Prostock compliant)

A.    Any DOT cut or uncut tire/tire combination allowed

B.    Must have truck or car like appearance. (NO RAILS)

C.    May use OEM frame, or min 2” x 3” square tube. No round tube frames or chassis allowed.

D.    Must have a minimum of a 6 point roll cage. ( see general rules)

E.    Must have a racing seat and minimum of 5 point harness.

F.    Full fire suit, close toed shoes and neck collar or hans required.

G.    Any OEM type drive train and suspension including 4-link, aftermarket transfer case, chain drive or axle housing.

H.    Must have one working shock at each tire, any shock allowed

I.     Any automotive type engine, any engine combination is allowed

J.    Engine must be within 12” as measured from the centerline of the front axle to the face of the head.

K.    Any commercially produced automotive head is allowed. (any and all modifications allowed)

L.    Any Exhaust allowed, but must be routed away from fuel system, driver compartment, and cannot be aimed directly at the spectators.

M.   Front Axle may be repositioned, as long as the balancer rule is applied.

N.    Can use aftermarket ignition

O.    Any fuel, delivery system, intake, and power adder allowed.

P.    Kill switch must be within reach of the driver while buckled into the seat, recommended to keep it below shoulder level.

Q.    Must have a working fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cab.

R.    A remote battery disconnect switch is required at the rear of the vehicle.

 

 

8.    Pro-Modified (USMRA  Open class compliant)

A.    Any body or chassis allowed.

B.    Must have firewall and floor pan

C.    Any tire and tire modification (except Ag type tractor tire/bar lug see class 9)

D.    Must have a minimum of a 6 point roll cage. Tube Chassis vehicles must have approved cage (see general rules)

E.    Must have a racing seat and minimum of 5 point harness.

F.    Full fire suit, close toed shoes. and neck collar or hans required.

G.    Any OEM type drive train and suspension including 4-link, aftermarket transfer case, chain drive or axle housing.

H.    Must have one working shock at each tire, any shock allowed

I.     Any automotive type engine, any engine combination is allowed.

J.    Any engine block, Aluminum, cast iron, or billet.

K.    Engine may be in any location in vehicle.

L.    Any commercially produced automotive head is allowed. (any and all modifications allowed)

M.   Any Exhaust allowed, but must be routed away from fuel system, driver compartment, and cannot be aimed directly at the spectators.

N.    Any fuel, delivery system, Intake, and power adder allowed.

O.    Any ignition system

P.    Kill switch must be within reach of the driver while buckled into the seat, recommended to keep it below shoulder level.

Q.    Must have a working fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cab.

R.    A remote battery disconnect switch is required at the rear of the vehicle.

 

9.    OPEN TRACTOR TIRE

A.    Same as class 8 Pro Modified except must have 4 tractor tires.

B.    If less than 5 in the class, or at a USMRA event will run with class 8.

MAMR L.L.C. IS NOT A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION, WE ARE A COMPANY WITH A SET OF RULES USED TO PROMOTE MUD RACING EVENTS. WE HAVE A YEAR LONG POINTS RACE SERIES OF WHICH YOU MAY ENTER FOR $30.00/DRIVER/CLASS. THIS ENTRY FEE IS FOR THE POINTS SERIES ONLY AND GIVE NO RIGHTS EXPRESSED OR WRITTEN TO THE OPERATIONS OF THE COMPANY.

 

Season Points Race ATV & Trucks

1.  $30.00/person/class to enter the season points race. (due at first race)

2.  Points go to the driver not the truck.

3.  If driving two trucks in the same class, driver must designate which pass is for points during registration.

4.  Points earned. 1st-10 points, 2nd-9, 3rd-8, 4th-7, 5th-6, 6th-5, 7th-4, 8th-3, 9th-2, 10th down 1 point, but must break timing lights.

5.  For races that are co-sanctioned with other organizations, there will be 10 points awarded to all drivers that participate.

6.  All Children under 12 and under will get a trophy, all others classes gat a trophy for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places only.

7.  We will no longer drop a race from the points calculation.

8.  Tie breaker goes to the person with the most event wins, followed by runner-ups, etc.
